Teen Boy Card

Masculine cards are a challenge for almost all cardmakers. I've been trying to collect different ideas and designs to keep in my "database" of masculine card ideas. I had fun designing this card for my brother's 13th birthday.

It's actually quite a simple design. The hardest part was tearing apart the corrugated cardboard! :)

Have a happy, creative day!

Linking to Wordless Wednesday

I apologize for falling behind on my blogging this past week! Life has a way of keeping us busy, does it not?! I'm going to be pretty busy over the next week or more, so I will try to post some quick posts; but if I just don't get it done, I hope you understand! :)

Celebrating Dr. Seuss

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!!!

I don't know about you, but Dr. Seuss used to annoy me... until I had kids! My kids love Dr. Seuss!!!

And what a better way to celebrate his birthday than to make blue milk, red pancakes and green eggs! (I didn't have any ham)

I couldn't let the day go by without letting the boys watch The Cat in the Hat, getting out all their Dr. Seuss books (just don't expect me to read those tongue numbing books!), and possibly even visiting

Did you know that there's furniture out there that was inspired by Dr. Seuss? How fun!

A Simple Thank You

I have a super quick card to share with you today. I made several of these for a college student's care package. Please forgive the lighting in the photo, I was in a big hurry when I took the shot.

This is a design that works great with only two papers and a simple sentiment stamp. I simply used white cardstock for my base, trimmed the papers and rounded the corners, then stamped my sentiment right onto the cardstock. I love simplicity!
