Photo Challenge #17: Someone You Love

Photography Challenge, week #17
Someone You Love

My husband, the love of my life, my best friend.

{ I'll spare you all the sappy stuff I could say... ;) }

Next Week: Childhood Memory {actually, next week is Thanksgiving, so the challenge will skip a week and resume the next week, Nov. 30}

Thank You!

In honor of Veterans Day, I would like to share some photos I took recently of a cemetery we stumbled across while in Norwich, CT.

Most of the tombstones dated from the 1700's to mid-1800's.

This cemetery was used during the time of the Revolutionary War.

This memorial reads: "In memory of twenty French soldiers who, serving under Lafayette, died while in camp at Norwich Town 1778"

There is even a memorial and burial site for a signer of the Declaration of Independence, Samuel Huntington.

To all those who fought for the freedom of this country's independence and have fought to keep it free...
Thank You!!!

Photo Challenge #16: Something You Made

Photography Challenge, week #16
Something You Made

If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you know that I love papercrafts! I love scrapbooking and would do it more if time permitted. To get a "quick fix" I make cards. =)

This card was a little more involved since it was a bi-fold card. I really enjoyed making it and will have to try one again soon.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a great rest of the week!
