Photo Challenge: Self Portrait

I've decided to challenge myself and take part in a photography challenge! I can't promise that I'll be able to stick with it and complete all 20 weeks, but I sure will give it a try!

Some of the challenges may be a little interesting and different from my normal photography, but I'm up for something new! :) I *might* even take it a step farther and do a layout of each challenge... maybe! No promises.

This week's challenge: Self Portrait

Next Week: What Makes You Smile

If you would like to participate in this challenge, it's not too late...

Have a wonderful day!

Makes Me Smile: Reading with Gramma

It's been another very hot week here! I sure hope it cools off soon! Meanwhile, we try to find things to do indoors - like going to Gramma's house. There's something special about seeing a grandmother read a book to her grandchildren... makes me smile. :)

Cupcake Thanks: Card 11 of 30

Here's another card I had to throw together rather quickly. I would love to be able to spend time and make a more detailed card, but with two very active little boys and a house in a constant state of remodeling, it's rather difficult to find the time. I'm not crazy about this card, but I suited it's purpose, so that works for me! :)

He was over 100 years old!

It's been a while since I've found it necessary to make a sympathy card. I guess that's a good thing. Recently, some friends lost their father; he was over 100 yrs. old! This is the card I made for them.

Sentiment: computer generated
Stamps: Autumn Leaves (flowers) and Stampabilities (red dots)
Punch: Fiskars border punches
Cardstock: unknown
Ribbon: unknown

Simple Masculine Card

Life has been keeping me rather busy with sickness, working with insurance for the damaged garage, VBS, and remodeling. Thought I'd pop in and share a card I made for my father for Father's Day...

This card started out completely different and I hated it! It tried to do a masked stamped image and it totally flopped!

In desperation, I came up with this card. It's a very simple design and easy to make. I designed and printed sentiment off of my computer, then used my circle cutter to cut it out.

Have a great Thursday!

Handmade Fireworks

*Sorry, I have no idea how to make real fireworks!*
But I got you to look, didn't I?! ;)
Nerf Darts + Plastic Straws =

These beautiful fireworks were made by my son last year. Undoubtedly, he will have a patent pending soon!
*Please note that sound effects are not included.*

I hope you all have a wonderful and safe 4th!
Never forget the sacrifices that were made so we might have the independence and freedom we enjoy as Americans.

Happy Independence Day!!!
