Capture the Little Things

MME Wild Asparagus "Cherish" kit; brown card stock; Thickers (for "30") I wanted to share this quick card with you today. I say "quick" because I was able to use parts of a card kit for this card and when pressed for time, that's a big life-saver! I used the Wild Asparagus "Cherish" card kit from MME , plus added a few elements of my own. Photography Challenge, week #16 Something You Made If you've followed my blog for any length of time, you know that I love papercrafts! I love scrapbooking and would do it more if time permitted. To get a "quick fix" I make cards. =) This card was a little more involved since it was a bi-fold card. I really enjoyed making it and will have to try one again soon. Thanks for stopping by! The oldest of my little nephews had his 4th birthday recently, so I decided to make a little interactive card for him. In between the normal daily routine, it took me several days to make this. When I decided what I wanted to do, I think that all the cutting, resizing and re-cutting, choosing colors, and just putting it all together would take so long! Most of the elements were from both Paper Dolls Cricut cartridges. The tent was from the svg file I found here ; I used SCAL to cut it out. Card Inside Inside, I placed a little "paper doll" camper roasting marshmallows outside his tent. The little man is laminated and removable, so he can be played with later. I had a lot of fun with all the little details of this card! I hope he enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it! Linking To... It's been a while since I've found it necessary to make a sympathy card. I guess that's a good thing. Recently, some friends lost their father; he was over 100 yrs. old! This is the card I made for them. Supplies Sentiment: computer generated Stamps: Autumn Leaves (flowers) and Stampabilities (red dots) Punch: Fiskars border punches Cardstock: unknown Ribbon: unknown
