Capture the Little Things

It's been a while since I have shared some of my creative works with you. Here is a card that I made a few months ago when my little (and only) niece was born. It was the first time that I used a border punch on the edge of the card like this and I must admit, it was a little tricky to get the back and front lined up just right. Here's the second of the two cards I made for WCMD. The concept of design is the same as my other card , with the addition of adding a ribbon. I'm really loving the green/blue combo right now - it's so refreshing! Thanks for stopping by!

During the month of March, I was able to work on a few things scrappy related. However, I neglected to post them to my blog! So, I'm playing a little catch up here... ;) This is a card I made for a challenge/contest on the scrapbooking message board I frequent. I received 2nd place for it! The frame, which I cut out using SCAL, is popped up with adhesive foam squares, as well as the butterflies. I also added some diamond stickles to the butterflies to give them a little something extra. The floral design in the center of the circle was stamped & then clear heat embossed. I hand-cut the little "hello" tag and then sanded the edges before stamping it. I apologize for not blogging in such a long while! September is a busy month for us... my in-laws came in for a visit for almost a week and both of our boys had birthdays. Our oldest celebrated his 4th & our "baby" celebrated his 1st. Recently, we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary by taking a 3-day trip to St. Louis. I had been "begging" my husband for a while already to take me to Archiver's - I had never been to one yet. So when we went to St. Louis, he did! And he gave me $50 to spend! :) Of course, upon entering the store, I immediately realized that $50 wasn't nearly enough for all I'd "need". I decided it was best not to mention that to my dear husband though, for fear that he'd have a heart attack! ;) Since I'd never been to Archiver's before, I was in for a real treat! WOW!!! I loved it! What a fantastic place!!!! I could have spent all day in there and easily spent $500! I fell in love with Basic Grey papers - some really gorgeous papers! I saw so many things I would love to get... someday. ;) And about that $50 I went in with, well, here's what I came out with... Yep! That's right! Exactly 1 penny! My total was $49.99 - am I good, or what?! LOL! ...
