Card: Birthday Camp

Image
The oldest of my little nephews had his 4th birthday recently, so I decided to make a little interactive card for him. In between the normal daily routine, it took me several days to make this. When I decided what I wanted to do, I think that all the cutting, resizing and re-cutting, choosing colors, and just putting it all together would take so long! Most of the elements were from both Paper Dolls Cricut cartridges. The tent was from the svg file I found here ; I used SCAL to cut it out. Card Inside Inside, I placed a little "paper doll" camper roasting marshmallows outside his tent. The little man is laminated and removable, so he can be played with later. I had a lot of fun with all the little details of this card! I hope he enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it! Linking To... It's been a while since I've found it necessary to make a sympathy card. I guess that's a good thing. Recently, some friends lost their father; he was over 100 yrs. old! This is the card I made for them. Supplies Sentiment: computer generated Stamps: Autumn Leaves (flowers) and Stampabilities (red dots) Punch: Fiskars border punches Cardstock: unknown Ribbon: unknown

Masculine cards are a challenge for almost all cardmakers. I've been trying to collect different ideas and designs to keep in my "database" of masculine card ideas. I had fun designing this card for my brother's 13th birthday. Materials: corrugated cardboard, packing paper (brown background), green cardstock, DCWV (printed paper), Thickers, Michael Strong Texturizing stamp , Heidi Grace stamp (sentiment) It's actually quite a simple design. The hardest part was tearing apart the corrugated cardboard! :) Have a happy, creative day! Linking to...

I ♥ Finger Painting

Image
This week on "I ♥ Faces", the theme is "anything but a face"! The first photo that came to my mind was this photo I took of my 5 yr. old playing with his finger paints. Have a wonderful Monday and remember to Capture the Little Things in your life today! Linking to:

It's been a while since I have shared some of my creative works with you. Here is a card that I made a few months ago when my little (and only) niece was born. It was the first time that I used a border punch on the edge of the card like this and I must admit, it was a little tricky to get the back and front lined up just right. Papers: DCWV; Butterfly: cut out of Pressed Petals paper   Thanks for stopping by!  Have a terrific Tuesday!!
